My new Ride

After long months of waiting at last, I received my new RIDE. Guest which car I choose?

Its and ECO car, a Hybrid car, yup its a Honda Insight. :D

It is hard for me to conclude my decision to take this car, y

ou would know why, it is "DOUBT ON HYBRID". To begin with most buyers will have doubt on a Hybrid car.

Question like
What is the cost of replacing the battery?How long that the battery will last?
Does or country is ready for a hybrid car, does our technician ready for it?
What will be the second hand car value for a hybrid car?
What is the maintenance of it?
will be wondering in every person mind to consider a hybrid.

I think that some of the answers for those questions still unknown. Since our government is giving 100% tax rebate for Hybrid car below 2.0cc car, why not give it a try. So, it is more on win win situation here. It would be encouraging for the government to extend the initiative until 2012.
Today i am proudly the owner of Honda Insight. I took Alabaster Silver Metallic because it is the easiest color to take care. :)

So, what is type of Hybrid does Honda Insight had. Under the hood of Honda Insight is a 1.3L engine serves as the main power source and the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system provides additional power when it is needed. It is different from Hybrid Synergy Drive from Toyota in their Prius. The electric motor in Honda Insight is more on assisting the engine. The electric motor is fit between the 1.3L engine and the CVT.

The interior is nice, its is like a combination of interior of Honda Jazz

and Honda Civic. Love it so much and at the same time i feels like the dashboard of Insight is too big. Honda should make it smaller and make the space for the rear passenger.
